NASA to Implement Counterfeit Part Detection and Avoidance Rule

NASA is finalizing a revision to the NASA Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (NFS) requiring contractors and subcontractors to use authentic electronic parts purchased directly from original manufacturers or their authorized dealers. The changes aim to combat counterfeit parts, as mandated by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Transition Authorization Act of 2017.
