US Fish and Wildlife Service Delays Electronic Monitoring Program for West Coast Groundfish

The US Fish and Wildlife Service is proposing to delay the implementation of the Electronic Monitoring Program for the West Coast Groundfish Trawl Rationalization Program from its original January 1, 2022, deadline to provide additional time for industry and service providers to prepare for the program's implementation, which is expected to increase participation and strengthen industry support.
