Technical Correction to the Flex-Fuel Vehicle Provisions in CAFE Regulations

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing a technical correction to its 2012 Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) regulations to clarify the calculation method for flex-fuel vehicles in model years 2020 and later. The proposed action is expected to allow the program to be implemented as originally intended without significant changes in regulatory burdens or costs.
