Bureau of Land Management to Convey Surface Estate to Council Native Corporation Under Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is providing notice that it will make a decision approving the transfer of surface land ownership to Council Native Corporation for the Native village of Council, in accordance with the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act of 1971 (ANCSA). The BLM will also transfer subsurface land ownership to Bering Straits Native Corporation at the same time.
