U.S. Coast Guard Proposes Temporary Safety Zone for Ocean Cup Pacific Rum Run Event

The U.S. Coast Guard is proposing a temporary safety zone near Ship Rock, Catalina Island, California, to protect the area from high-speed vessels participating in the Ocean Cup Pacific Rum Run event. The proposed zone would be enforced by the Captain of the Port, Los Angeles--Long Beach, and would prohibit unauthorized vessels from entering the designated area.
