Bloom Energy Corporation Seeks Clarification on Thermal Energy Output from Fuel Cells

Bloom Energy Corporation submitted a petition to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on August 19, 2020, requesting clarification on the use of thermal energy output from solid oxide fuel cell systems in reforming methane to produce hydrogen for electricity generation, which could enable the facility to be certified as a qualifying cogeneration facility.
