HHS Removes Financial Disincentives to Living Organ Donation

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has finalized a rule to expand reimbursement for living organ donors, allowing them to claim lost wages, child-care, and elder-care expenses, in an effort to increase the number of available organs and reduce the organ transplant waiting list.
