ArborGen, LLC Receives Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for Genetically Engineered Eucalyptus Hybrids

ArborGen, LLC has announced that the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has completed an environmental assessment and found no significant impact for a controlled release of genetically engineered eucalyptus hybrids. The field release is intended to continue research on cold tolerance, lignin biosynthesis, and fertility, and APHIS has deemed it unlikely to pose a plant pest risk or harm the environment.
