Medicare Program Introduces New Payment Models to Improve Quality of Care and Reduce Expenditures

The US Department of Health and Human Services has implemented two new mandatory Medicare payment models, the Radiation Oncology Model and the End-Stage Renal Disease Treatment Choices Model, to promote quality and financial accountability for providers and suppliers of radiotherapy services, while reducing Medicare program spending.
