FMCSA Denies Exemption Applications from Five Individuals with Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has denied exemption applications from five individuals who received Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (ICDs) and sought to operate commercial motor vehicles in interstate commerce despite having cardiovascular conditions that may cause syncope or other health issues.
