FMCSA Receives Exemption Applications for Drivers with Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has accepted applications from two individuals seeking an exemption to operate commercial vehicles despite having a history of cardiovascular disease, as long as they have an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) installed.
