USDA to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Glyphosate-Tolerant Sugar Beets

The USDA plans to prepare an environmental impact statement for a genetically engineered sugar beet line, following a court-mandated evaluation of its potential human environmental impacts, in response to a Monsanto/KWS SAAT AG sugar beet line, designated as event H7-1, being granted nonregulated status.
