SEC Amends Regulation NMS to Update Procedures for NMS Plan Fee Amendments and Proposed NMS Plans

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is rescinding a provision that allowed proposed amendments to national market system plans to become effective upon filing if they established or changed fees, and instead will require public comment and Commission approval before effectiveness. The SEC is also updating its procedures for handling proposed NMS plans and plan amendments, including fee amendments.
