University of California Berkeley Completes Inventory of Human Remains, Opens Transfer Process for Lineal Descendants and Tribes

The University of California Berkeley has completed an inventory of human remains, determining a cultural affiliation with present-day Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations, and is now accepting written requests from lineal descendants or representatives of unlisted tribes to transfer control of the remains.
