DOE Announces Decision to Initiate Groundwater Remediation at Santa Susana Field Laboratory

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has decided to start groundwater remediation in Area IV of the Santa Susana Field Laboratory (SSFL) in California, following the completion of a Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The remediation plan will be implemented in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and will be consistent with agreements reached through interagency consultations.
