Mandatory Deposit of Electronic-Only Books

The U.S. Copyright Office is updating its rules to require publishers of exclusively digital books in the United States to make deposits of their works under the Copyright Act, following a 2020 proposal, if the Office requests it. The new rule mainly mirrors the proposed rule from 2020, with an added clarification for print-on-demand books.
