DoD Proposes Update to DFARS to Implement Prior Commercial Item Determination Rule

The US Department of Defense (DoD) is proposing to update the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to align with the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2018, which allows a contract using FAR part 12 procedures to be considered a prior commercial item determination. The proposed changes aim to streamline the acquisition process for the DoD.
