US Fish and Wildlife Service Denies Petition to Remove Arctic Ringed Seal from Endangered Species List

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has rejected a 90-day petition to remove the Arctic subspecies of ringed seal from the Endangered Species Act (ESA) list, citing a lack of new information, but has agreed to review the species' status in five years.
