FMCSA Requests Comments on Petition to Repeal Illinois Carrier ID Requirements

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is seeking public comments on a petition submitted by Nationwide Freight Systems, Inc., Leader U.S. Messenger, Inc., and Stott Contracting, LLC, which argues that Illinois Commerce Commission regulations on carrier identification are preempted by federal law (49 U.S.C. 14506).
