Ochoco National Forest to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Fuel and Vegetation Management Project

The Ochoco National Forest is preparing an environmental impact statement (EIS) to assess the effects of fuel and vegetation management within the 44,858-acre Howard Elliot Johnson project area, approximately 23 miles east of Prineville, Oregon. The EIS will analyze the proposed action, no action, and additional alternatives, allowing public participation and input in the decision-making process.
