U.S. Customs and Border Protection Issues Final Determination on Country of Origin for Vehicle Tracking Devices and Other Items

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a final determination on the country of origin for three vehicle tracking devices, a satellite device, an NFC reader, and an NFC keyring fob, concluding that the devices from Canada are eligible for U.S. Government procurement, while the NFC keyring fob's origin will be determined by the contactless integrated circuit's country of origin, typically Taiwan, with Thailand or Singapore as alternatives.
