FRA Issues Final Rule for Highway-Rail Grade Crossing Action Plans

The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) is issuing a final rule in response to the Fixing America's Surface Transportation Act, requiring 40 states and the District of Columbia to develop and implement highway-rail grade crossing action plans, with updates and reports due from 10 states that previously met the requirement under the Rail Safety Improvement Act of 2008.
