FAA Adopts New Airworthiness Directive for Yaborã ERJ 190-400 Airplanes

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has adopted a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Yaborã Indústria Aeronáutica S.A. Model ERJ 190-400 airplanes, following a report of an in-flight shutdown due to a failure in the low-pressure compressor rotor 1 during high-altitude, high-thrust operations. The directive aims to address an unsafe condition on these aircraft by amending the flight manual and revising normal procedures.
