HUD Amends Section 542(c) Housing Finance Agency Risk Sharing Program Regulations

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has updated the regulations for the Section 542(c) Housing Finance Agency Risk Sharing program, allowing qualified state and local housing finance agencies to provide mortgage insurance and credit enhancement for new loans on multifamily affordable housing properties, and granting them greater flexibility to operate the program efficiently.
