EPA Approves Florida's Clean Water Act Section 404 Assumption Request

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved Florida's request to assume regulating discharges of dredged or fill material into waters within the state's jurisdiction, following a 120-day review period and consideration of over 3,000 public comments. This approval allows Florida to operate its own Clean Water Act Section 404 program.
