NMFS Increases Fee Rate for Non-Pollock Groundfish Fishing Capacity Reduction Program

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is increasing the fee rate for the non-pollock groundfish fishing capacity reduction program in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Non-Pollock Groundfish Fishery to repay a $35,000,000 loan. The fee rate for Loan A will rise to $0.024 per pound, effective January 1, 2021, due to a 20% decrease in non-pollock groundfish Total Allowable Catch (TAC) for 2021.
