Medicare Program Updates Hospital Outpatient Payment Systems and Quality Reporting Programs

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has released a final rule with a comment period that revises the Medicare hospital outpatient prospective payment system and ambulatory surgical center payment system for 2021, updates quality reporting programs, and introduces new categories for hospital outpatient department prior authorization and overall hospital quality star ratings.
