FMCSA Proposes Rear Impact Guards for Commercial Motor Vehicles

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is proposing to require annual inspections of rear impact guards on commercial motor vehicles, in addition to amending labeling requirements and excluding certain trailers from the rule, following recommendations from the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and rulemaking petitions.
