U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Issues Updated Guidance for Aging Management of Pressurized-Water Reactor Vessel Internals

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has released an interim staff guidance document, SLR-ISG-2021-01-PWRVI, which updates the aging management criteria for pressurized-water reactor vessel internals components in its subsequent license renewal guidance documents, aiming to facilitate the preparation of license renewal applications and the review process by clarifying existing guidance and adding new requirements.
