U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Considers Exemption for Holtec Decommissioning International, LLC at Palisades Nuclear Plant

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is considering an exemption to allow Holtec Decommissioning International, LLC to use funds from the Palisades Nuclear Plant nuclear decommissioning trust for spent fuel management and site restoration without prior notification, following a December 23, 2020, request from the company.
