NRC Exempts 72 Operator Candidates from Written Examination and Operating Test at Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Unit 4

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is granting an exemption to 72 licensed operator candidates at the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP) Unit 4, allowing them to bypass a written examination and operating test, following a request from Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. (SNC) dated July 8, 2021, and a subsequent letter dated October 1, 2021.
