DOD, GSA, and NASA Issue Final Rule on Joint Ventures for Small Businesses

The Department of Defense (DOD), General Services Administration (GSA), and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) have published a final rule to update the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) regarding joint ventures involving the Small Business Administration (SBA), clarifying that 8(a) joint ventures are not eligible for the 8(a) program and eliminating SBA approval for joint venture agreements in competitive 8(a) awards.
