USPTO Corrects Patent Fee Rule for Small Entities and Micro Entities Under Unleashing American Innovators Act

The US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has made a correction to a rule that adjusts patent fees for small and micro entities, which was implemented as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023, and includes provisions from the Unleashing American Innovators Act of 2022 (UAIA). The correction addresses an error in the applicability of certain amendments to international patent applications under the Patent Cooperation Treaty.
