FCC Sets Limits on Exempted Calls Under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991

The Federal Communications Commission has implemented new rules to clarify exemptions under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991, aligning with the Pallone-Thune Telephone Robocall Abuse Criminal Enforcement and Deterrence Act (TRACED Act). The new rules establish limits on exempted calls, including non-commercial calls to residences, and require callers to have opt-out mechanisms in place.
