Milk for Manufacturing Purposes and Its Production and Processing: Proposed Amendment to Recommended Manufacturing Milk Requirements

The National Association of Dairy Regulatory Officials (NADRO) has proposed an amendment to the recommended manufacturing milk requirements, increasing the maximum allowable somatic cell count in producer herd goat milk from 1,000,000 cells per milliliter to 1,500,000 cells per milliliter, in response to a request from NADRO and in cooperation with dairy trade associations and producer groups.
