Federal Communications Commission Proposes Shorter STIR/SHAKEN Implementation Extension for Small Voice Service Providers

The FCC is seeking public comment on a proposal to accelerate the implementation of STIR/SHAKEN, a call authentication system, for small voice service providers that frequently originate illegal robocalls, with the goal of protecting Americans from spoofed robocalls by June 30, 2022.
