FDA Proposes Standard to Ban Menthol in Cigarettes

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is proposing a new standard for tobacco products that would ban menthol as a flavor in cigarettes, aiming to reduce the appeal of cigarettes among youth and young adults, and ultimately decrease smoking rates and related health issues.
