US Department of Agriculture to Launch Crop Assistance Program for Affected Farmers

The US Department of Agriculture will provide emergency financial assistance to eligible farmers in specified counties who suffered losses due to excessive moisture and related conditions during the 2009 crop year, with a total budget of up to $550 million.
