Defining Small Number of Animals for Minor Use Determination; Periodic Reassessment

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing its recent periodic reassessment of the definition of 'small number of animals' for minor use in major species, with no changes to the upper limit thresholds for horses and food-producing major species. The FDA is also revising the small numbers for dogs and cats through a direct final rule and a companion proposed rule.
