Cargill, Inc. Files Petition with FDA to Amend Food Additive Regulations

Cargill, Inc. has submitted a petition to the FDA requesting the amendment of food additive regulations to allow for the safe use of hydrogen peroxide as an antimicrobial agent, oxidizing and reducing agent, and bleaching agent, while removing sulfur dioxide.
