Agricultural Disaster Indemnity Programs

The US Department of Agriculture has established the Quality Loss Adjustment (QLA) Program to provide financial assistance to farmers who experienced crop quality losses due to various natural disasters in 2018 and 2019. The program also updates the Wildfire and Hurricane Indemnity Program Plus (WHIP+) to include excessive moisture and drought events from 2018 and 2019, expanding eligibility for sugar beet farmers.
