US Amends Noxious Weed Regulations to Improve Effectiveness and Prevent Introduction

The US government has updated its regulations governing the importation and interstate movement of noxious weeds, adding definitions, permit application details, treatment requirements, and provisions for adding or removing taxons from the lists, in order to align with current statutory authority and improve the effectiveness of the regulations, and to prevent the introduction of seven new noxious weeds into the country.
