FAA Issues Revised Airworthiness Directive for Airbus A318, A319, A320, and A321 Airplanes

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has superseded Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2016-07-12, which required repetitive inspections for damage and cracking of the aft fixed fairing (AFF) of the pylons on certain Airbus SAS Model A318, A319, A320, and A321 series airplanes. The revised directive now includes additional inspections and corrective actions to address fatigue damage and cracks on the pylons and a modified AFF.
