EPA Grants California Request to Reclassify Coachella Valley Nonattainment Area

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has agreed to reclassify the Coachella Valley nonattainment area in California from 'Severe-15' to 'Extreme' for ozone standards, with a proposed deadline for the state to submit a plan and revised regulations by July 10, 2020.
