Coast Guard Establishes Temporary Safety Zone for Jean Lafitte Pirogue Race

The U.S. Coast Guard is setting up a temporary safety area along the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway in Lafitte, Louisiana, to safeguard against potential dangers posed by the Jean Lafitte Pirogue Race. Unauthorized vessels or individuals are barred from entering this zone, except with explicit permission from the Captain of the Port Sector New Orleans or a designated representative.
