Coast Guard Partners with Callyo 2009 Corporation to Explore Smartphone-Based Search and Rescue Technology

The US Coast Guard is collaborating with Callyo 2009 Corporation on a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement to investigate the use of smartphone location services for more efficient Search and Rescue operations, and is seeking public comment on potential participation by other parties.
