NMFS Transfers Shark Quotas from Western to Eastern Gulf of Mexico

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is relocating 5 metric tons of blacktip shark quota, 50 metric tons of aggregated large coastal shark quota, and 8 metric tons of hammerhead shark management group quota from the western Gulf of Mexico to the eastern Gulf of Mexico for the remainder of the 2019 fishing year, in accordance with regulatory determination criteria.
