US Government Adopts New SNAP Regulations to Replace Paper Coupons with EBT System

The Food and Nutrition Service has finalized a rule to transition the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program from paper coupons to the Electronic Benefits Transfer system, aligning with the 2008 Farm Bill's prohibition on paper coupons and de-obligation of paper coupons as of June 18, 2009.
