NMFS Approves Exempted Fishing Permit Application for Pacific Coast Groundfish Fishery

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has approved an exempted fishing permit application submitted by the Fort Bragg Association and the Half Moon Bay Groundfish Marketing Association, allowing vessels participating in the California Groundfish Collective to temporarily exceed their annual vessel limit for cowcod while reducing operational risk and increasing landings of more abundant groundfish stocks.
