NMFS Issues Temporary Rule to Increase Atlantic King Mackerel Commercial Trip Limit

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has issued a final temporary rule to increase the commercial trip limit for Atlantic king mackerel in the Atlantic southern zone from October 1, 2019, to February 29, 2020, in response to a request from the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council (Council) to alleviate economic burdens on the commercial sector.
